Article 23, The Other Side of IQ [Part 2 of 2]

[Self-Improvement] The other sides of IQ refers to how uncertain IQ is when used alone and how it cannot be measured through certificates accurately. How some are blinded by our ego, pride or qualifications and looking down on those who aren't qualified. Climbing one summit will lead to higher summits ahead. We do value IQ, but we should never disregard other important Qs. The fittest will survive! All of us should admit this, because we are living in an extremely challenging world.

Let's take a look at the other side of IQ. Read through and think twice.

[1] IQ measured and put into certificates might not be 100% accurate. Why am I saying so? Not all people's intelligence mature at the same stage. Some people had not the chances to further their studies. Some weren't even given chances to be exposed to higher studies.

[2] Use it or lose it! That is our brain. Acquired knowledge can easily be lost if not used often. Knowledge is never lost when in constant use.

[3] Brain damage will also render one's existing certificate useless.

[4] A person's IQ can be improved with applying DQ, thus increasing and improving all the time.

[5] Some students were not at all interested in those subjects offered in school, thus eventually be ruled out of the outstanding board. Or perhaps not provided at that time.

[6] When great emphasizes are focused on studies to obtain a certificate, students tend to be stressed that they were building their parents' hope and happiness instead of themselves.

[7] In the pursuit of acquiring IQ from schools, those not too bright students were often looked down upon, left unnoticed, condemned, blamed, discarded and given undergrads by those classmates who thought they were better. I dare say, not the students only, the majorities are teachers themselves.

[8] Some relationships have gone stale due to prejudices of parents themselves in the discrimination of grades and qualifications when choosing for their children's life partners.

[9] Why is it that 99% of our brain left untapped? How can it be tapped?

[10] Where have our educational system gone wrong? Why the many dropouts and dissatisfaction among many? Are these people born to be left out of the crowd where IQ is concerned?

[11] Why have many of them been left 'to die' by themselves? But luckily managed to discover in a tough way that they can survive better without any certificate or are even better than most of us?

[12] Or are we blinded by our ego, pride or qualifications? Or 'qualified' to look down upon just anybody? Can a blind lead another blind to the market? What have we actually 'qualified' to lead and teach?

[13] Why the disturbances in schools? Why the lost of interests in schools? Where have all those great dreams gone to?

[14] Are we as educators teaching the wrong concept? Are we copycatting a wrong system ourselves? Ignorant ourselves?

[15] Look at our discipline at schools. It pained me so much to look into those ugly facts. And how the students are classified by teachers and degraded? Of course, there are differences in one's abilities and capabilities. Why the waste of time and money?

Here is not an end to those questions. There are some more to come, but to be able to deal with negatives is so much more important than to stay positive. Have just anybody applied all the Qs at home, in schools and in our society? Just as a reminder, all those other Qs can be extremely helpful to our basic Q, the IQ.

Just another point. " We value accumulated experiences, we value appropriate education, we value our educational support, we treasure acquired knowledge, we respect our mentors, BUT are we equipped with efficient knowledge to guide and teach our newer breed who have inherited our knowledge from birthrights too?" Are we as educators aware that these newer generations are smarter than when we were at that age? Are we not conscious that we have lost control of our newer generations? Are we not aware of the great pace of improvements? When did we first learn about computers and internet? When did we possess our first mobile phone? When did we watch the first colored TV? Why the generation gap?

CAN WE STILL USE OUR ACQUIRED KNOWLEDGE OF THE 19TH OR 20TH CENTURY'S WISDOM AND KNOWLEDGE TO TEACH OUR KIDS of today? These are our 21st century kids. Are we expecting these children to learn just from what we have at hand? Are we 'qualified' to lead by examples? Dear readers, be aware that CHANGE IS THE ONLY CONSTANT! Take for instance; writing good articles are getting more and more difficult, why? As when one submits an article, we should appropriately tick the column confirming that our articles are original and not copied from anywhere. Just look at all those published articles. They are personalized works from great thinkers and writers. These are great works that all of us admire! If our work is not better, how can one reach another level of success? Where then can we submit our articles to? Haha..... to the recycle bin?

All of us are working with experts and are no losers. When one has read good articles, we look for better articles, and from better to best. So, definitely the record is set higher for us to break. It is getting more difficult! If we were to remain stagnant at what our present levels, we will be so much far left behind. Climbing one summit will lead to higher summits ahead. Life is challenging. Face the challenges or be a loser. Look at our next younger generations. Shouldn't they be geared to move on the race?
